Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant – Business Assessment / Readiness Project

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant to support a Business Assessment and Readiness initiative. The consultant will evaluate current financial processes, systems landscape, controls, and organizational readiness for an SAP transformation (S/4HANA or ECC upgrade). The role requires strong functional expertise in Finance and Controlling, business process analysis capabilities, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct current-state assessment of Finance and Controlling processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Asset Accounting, Costing, etc.).
  • Evaluate existing SAP ECC or legacy financial systems landscape.
  • Identify gaps, risks, inefficiencies, and compliance issues.
  • Assess master data quality (GL, Vendor, Customer, Asset, Cost Centers, Profit Centers).
  • Analyze chart of accounts structure and financial reporting framework.
  • Review integration points between FICO and other modules (MM, SD, PP, PS).
  • Facilitate business workshops and stakeholder interviews.
  • Document findings, recommendations, and improvement roadmap.
  • Support fit-gap analysis for S/4HANA readiness.
  • Provide input into business case development and transformation strategy.
  • Assist in defining future-state process design principles.
  • Prepare assessment reports and executive-level presentations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 8+ years of SAP FICO experience.
  • Strong expertise in GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.
  • Experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation or assessment project.
  • Strong understanding of financial closing processes and compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting business process assessments and gap analysis.
  • Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in S/4HANA Finance migration or Central Finance.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting tools (Group Reporting, BW, SAC).
  • CPA, CMA, or relevant financial certification.
  • SAP FICO certification.
  • Experience in multi-country or global template environments.
